How to Tie The Classic Necktie Using Square Silk Scarves
Material Needed:
This scarf tying style mimics menswear ties, but utilizes a square silk scarf to add a feminine touch.
To begin, fold your square silk scarf into a triangle, so that all of the edges are perfectly matched up, and the “middle” point of the scarf is facing the floor.

Next, fold the “middle” point (the one that is facing the floor) up, so that your scarf resembles a rectangle.

Fold the scarf in half so that you now have a long, narrow strip.

Wrap the scarf around your neck and put your hand behind it, holding it up. Then fold the bottom half of the silk scarf over your hand, toward your shoulder.

While continuing to hold the silk scarf with your hand behind the upper portion (so that it is still folded in half), bring the bottom part (that you folded toward your shoulder) back in front of the top panel, so that your hand now sits inside a loop.

Insert the corner of the silk scarf into the loop and pull gently, so that you have formed a loose knot.

Insert the right side of the scarf into the knot, feed it through, and adjust to your preferred length.
